Rewind to less than a year ago. Barnett Lobel was just an ambitious kid crafting beats in the basement of his home in Englewood, NJ. In the spring of 2011, he rolled the dice, sending an original track he’d been working on to Electro pioneer Lazy Rich. Fifteen minutes later, “Yours Tonight” was signed to Big Fish Recordings, and the story of Acetronik began.
It took just that one official release for Acetronik’s name to unexpectedly spread in spades across the world. “Yours Tonight” was lauded on Sirius XM radio by superstars Tiesto and Mark Knight, among many others. Before clubs could get enough of the intricate, euphoria-inducing sound that is Acetronik, he did it again, rolling out the “Make Me Feel Good” EP, which caught the attention of Electro kingpins Steve Aoki, Paul Oakenfold, Darth & Vader, and more. Barnett’s affinity for diamond-cut dance music comes from a heart that truly loves great music. And still, NYC-based Acetronik has a multitude of upcoming releases, shows, and surprises to unload in the near future.
