The first time I saw Buddy Guy, at a blues bar in Omaha, he was with Junior Wells and I sat down and had a drink with him while Junior did his thing. The second time was at a bowling alley bar, then at an outdoor festival in Sioux City where he absolutely tore the place up. Now he's touring with BB. It's so good to seem him get his due. 30 or so years ago I was fortunate to get to see Muddy and John Lee Hooker, among many others . . . I'm still star struck by these guys and it was a very big deal to me to be in the same room with them. Thanks for the mix.
