"A woman who writes feels too much,
those trances and portents!
As if cycles and children and islands
weren't enough; as if mourners and gossips
and vegetables were never enough.
She thinks she can warn the stars.
A writer is essentially a spy.
Dear love, I am that girl."

This is fantastic! I have read the poem "daddy" numerous times, and it's so lovely to hear how Plath intended the poem to read.

i write too much too. my body is a wired cage where the skeleton is dark & gray. we are connected by the light of black stars as they slowly drift by.
