There's a lot of unerground hate for the North American/mainstream "dubstep" scene. While I fully agree that ridiculously distorted tweeter bass makes for the worst music outside the top 40, there is some serious beauty hiding between the uglies.
Here's a selection of beauties from the heavy-dirty side. With more than one snare sample between them and no lame-ass pop vocals or eardrum-raking screeches.
PS- if ur insulted that I labeled any of these artists "brostep," get over it.
