i feel like this mix perfectly captures the delicate balance between hope and despair of Luke as a character, how his life has been the most impacted by the events of hill house and the actions of his parents, how much he's suffered but also how he can't help but keep going, how he won't give up. No One's Here to Sleep is a great song that describes Luke's relationship to the ghosts haunting him. Amen is such a perfect song for Luke after Nellie's death. And In My Blood just got to me. It's just really fits Luke's struggles with addiction and how he still isn't giving up after so much suffering (also the double interpretation of the lyrics that could be applied here: "in my blood" like heroin entering the bloodstream, or blood as in family, and the strength he's inherited from his family)
