A sputter choked from his lungs; spit dry against his cheek as he laid upon what was once a pristine tiled floor. Weary brown eyes peeked beneath a mess of black hair, glasses at the further end of the floor, broken from the impact of him hitting it. A hole formed through half of his home from the catastrophic destruction that ripped the city in two, and death filled his nostrils in a repulsive stench. A shadow hovered above him, menacing with glowing red eyes and shark like white teeth.
