12 Tracks. The first side of this set is bookended by plane crashes, real and imagined. Andrew Bird’s song is majestic while Elvis Perkins’ song is poignant. (Unintended Connection: his mother died on a plane that struck the WTC). I have seen the Mates of State and they are even cuter than their song here indicates. I could imagine doing the polka and sitting on a back porch sipping gin. Daytrotter is wonderful. This mix is wonderful.
