Tracks from the back

Tracks from the back

My parents drove a Mercury Monarch in the 1970s. I sat in the back and frequently got carsick. Here's some of the stuff I listened to en route to Pekin or Peoria or an exotic holiday destination (like Iowa).

1970s classic rock

Didn't they get the Reliant K car after this one? Then it was the Tempo!!!!!

I think I had my pants down in the back of that Tempo...with Jody H., that is!!!! Chinese fire drill.....remember...you were trying to catch a glimpse of Susan M.'s booty. Good times.

I remember riding in the car and having to explain Rhinestone cowboy to my 'rents. They suspected that it was some kind of satanic song about about drugs (like all rock & roll).

Double Vision was about busting out of my H.S. existence and driving my future brother-in-law's powerfully mean Firebird! Oh to go back for a visit to those heady days...

I recall going to Missouri in my preteens and my brother, being the driver, would only play Fleetwood Mac "Rumours" and and Stevie Wonder "Songs in the Key Of Life"...could have been worse I guess!!
