Hey, my name is Michael Taylor Winsor and I am an undergraduate at Columbia University in New York City, and it is taking me on the most chaotic experience. I am in good place though, and I'm content with the way my life is progressing. This school is aiding me in finding out more about who I am and teaching me to challenge the ways I think . In high school I was never pushed, Senior year was a bum off year, but coming to Columbia completely opened my eyes to studying. Currently I'm completely unsure what I want to study or what I want to do in life, but here that is fine and encouraged. The only thing that I aim for though is happiness.
I have seen the destruction depression can cause. I have seen what it is like to not do what you yearn in your heart to do and that is something I do not ever want to personally experience.
I follow the ways of the Rasta man. I have been locking my hair for almost 5 years now, and looking back and noticing how much they have grown is an amazing reminder of how much I have changed within that time.
What is interesting is that since I came to Columbia, I have amended my wardrobe significantly to include a wider array of more dressy clothes. After walking around campus, I felt that finally I could wear clothes that were dressy and not be completely judged for doing so. Back in McAllen I never would have wanted/been able to wear what I do now. It's exciting. I feel some much smarter wearing nice clothes that are interesting and express who I am.
I'm a audiophile who enjoys every form of music. Currently electronic music is my main focus: dubstep, house, trance, psychedelic. I am working on developing a greater interest in Jazz, Classical, and Latin music to widen my array of musical interests. I am a kandi kid, and enjoy raves tremendously.
The best way to really grasp who I am I feel is difficult. I am someone who is willing to learn which leaves me room for constant improvement. I live everyday to make of it what I can, and strongly believe in karma. I am surrounded by great friend who love and care for me, and as well by family that would go to the end of the earth for me. My grandfather was a very influential person in my growing up, and he will forever be the shining star on my journeys.

I am currently working towards promoting the art of lightshows. My art is often immediately associated with drug use, and my lights are often banned from raves due to this very wrong stereotype. I am working to end this. I use my lights to express my creativity and love for music. I attempt to tell a story with every lightshow, and I love watching people's eyes gape with every climax to my tale, it's beautiful. I am doing everything that I can to move this forward, and if anyone can offer a helping hand then please feel free to contact me. I am a glover and am willing to colaborate with DJs making videos to their tracks.
