The Stuff

These days rap is looking like pop than rap. One of the reason I joined 8tracks is to get exposure to actual lyrical rap that puts thought not only into its beat but the meaning behind it and creates a beautiful blend between the two. This playlist wonderfully encompasses that idea and gives a ton of underground examples of linguists. This playlist earned my respect if that means anything to you.

I'm not a fan of much rap these days, especially the stuff that all sounds the same with shallow, meaningless lyrics (read: almost everything popular the past few years). I honestly didn't think I'd end up enjoying this mix... But here I am, halfway through and I haven't skipped a single track. Great music, and awesome mix! Thanks for sharing; I'd have never known most of these artists even existed if not for hearing them here.
