Before the Apocalypse became an industry, the faithful looked to the end of times with joyful anticipation. Instead of contemplating dark visions of beasts, numbers, and Armageddon, we fixed their sights on the woman clothed in the sun, a new heaven and a new earth, with Gideon's trumpet in our ears and the fruit of the tree of life on our tongues.
