A modern day girl, who inherited her anger from her mom, watches her only remaining relative die, then is immediately brought to Narnia. Rubi works through the shock, disbelief, and fury. She learns to fight, using the skills to defend the naive Caspian, who she harbors secret selfish feelings for. After a murderous breakdown in battle, she learns to accept Narnia as real, and tells Caspian what happened. In the end, she's given a choice- go back home, to nothing, or be Caspian's bodyguard.
