‘how could i tell her? how could i let her know how many times ive seen her eyes, how many times ive counted freckles and moles and eyelashes ive counted, how ive traveled the world and have always been able to find her, how can i say what she means to me and what i have meant to her so many times before; days and weeks and months and years and decades and centuries of hearing her say those three words-- how can i keep her with me long enough to reply every ‘i love you’ with one of my own?’
