some epic and calm tunes for rediscovering the Tolstoy's war-and-peace epoch. at the same time one more classical selection of mostly romantic and russian composers including Franz Liszt, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Thank you for all your cultural sharings. It is important for each ignorant (in my case, ignorant about music) to find a good source, and you are surely one. It is a nourishment for the mind to listen such masterpieces while studying or just to contemplate them. Thank you.

kmysko

I'm so glad to hear that you like all these cultural sharings. and one more thing I like that it is classical music that can be interesting, intriguing and exciting journey for everyone. thank you for following and listening!

Cherrrta

It's so pleasant and close to my Russian heart.

kmysko

very glad you liked it! thanks for your kind words.

Not to be obnoxious, but the Tchaikovsky one to which I think leonardo is referring (the 4th on playlist) is the Pas de Deux in the Nutcracker. Just to help you find the specific piece! It's one of my all time faves, so wonderful!

kmysko

it's ok, it might be Pas de Deux! perfectly know this tune, but I imagined that Swan Lake could be one of the pieces that catched the idea of this mix. agree with you, thanks!

abazulin

Nice!
Theese tunes are familiar from the childhood =)
But! Shame on me - I never read Anna Karenina.

kmysko

glad you liked it! it's never too late to read something. every single book is waiting its own time! thanks a lot for listening.

Idril

Wonderful! I recently watched the new Anna Karenina film and it reminded me just how much I love Tolstoy and Russian classical music. This was perfect!

kmysko

I also love Anna Karenina, but I prefer to watch soviet version http://mubi.com/films/anna-karenina. glad you liked this mix. thank you!

The Kreutzer Sonata begs to be made into a playlist

kmysko

thanks for this! really, Kreutzer Sonata needs to be here. and Leoš Janáček is one of my favorite composers. it's а pity that this piece has low bitrate.
