This mix consists of the sweet sounding female singers of the 50's and 60's. Something about Patti Page's singing " darling " that still gets me. I was introduced to these singers when I was very young in the early 1950's. The repetition of these songs on the show Hit Parade left an indelible memory with me. I also included a few vintage commercials, and two songs by the Carpenters. Karen's voice was influenced by the earlier singers.
