A soft focus lens follows a group of Victorian schoolgirls as they set out on a day trip, deep into the Australian landscape, never to return. A simple picnic at Hanging Rock isn't what it seems. If I could make a soundtrack for this novel-based film it would include these twenty-four ethereal tracks including music by Vashti Bunyan, Isobel Campbell, and Simon & Garfunkel.
