Post Rock is an interesting sub-genre. It's approached in a very artistic, memorizing, or complex way. As well as typically being easy on the ears with the inclusion of ambient. This might suit you better if you're alone and want to think about the aspects of life or just feeling flustered.
One of the artists I recommend listening to first is Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster. They are incredibly under-rated so if you like them go support them on Bandcamp!
