A sonic postcard recalling faded memories, back from our childhood. The family's yearly summer vacations next to the sea, the unexpected summer storms in the middle of August, the endless bicycle rides, and, this, permanent smell of coconut suntanning lotion everywhere. Forty five blissful minutes, including work by Keith Kenniff, Dictaphone, Library Tapes, and Peter Broderick among others.

Ten monologues exploring routes of commuters traveling around their cities: London, Berlin, Tokyo(?) and Athens. An experimental narrative documenting sonic portraits from our everyday life; merging minimal lo-fi landscapes, experimental electronic compositions and field recordings.

Thought provoking stories, speeches, poems, phrases, and fly on the wall eavesdroppings. They all serve a purpose and are worth listening to when one is in the mood. So here's 33 of my favorite spoken recordings, including Ivor Cutler, Steven Jesse Bernstein, and Ghost Dog.

Spotify has its flaws, but if you're interested in musical archeology, it has a very impressive catalog (including every single Document Records release, as well as a really huge Smithsonian Folkways collection).
Which is great, because musical archeology happens to be a (very irritating) hobby of mine.
So here's a compilation of some of my favourites from the SF catalog. Most of these tracks are field recordings made in the 1950's, hope you'll enjoy.
