In the film music world the term "mod sound" describes a compositional style which was very common from late 60s to the early 70s. These scores featured an often fascinating mixture of popular genres, classical and avantgarde techniques. This mix includes examples from composers such as Jerry Goldsmith, Roy Budd and Ron Grainer.

I've always been interested in how music enhances film and believe that an awesome film score can make any shitty movie bearable, if not decent. In these "Soundtrack to my life" playlists I intend to present some songs that match the indicated hypothetical scene. Future playlists will include scenes such as the "Oh shit, I fucked up and lost the person I love" (for you sappy people) and the "Let's go out and kick some ass/kill a few people" (for the action junkies).

An ode to you action-movie fans. These songs are meant to coincide with some kind of fight/destruction scene and, although some may be predictable, I feel they fit the [hypothetical] scene well.
