A mix I made for a friend a few years back. At the time, all the music on this mix was brand new to me and it was the process of making this mix, and finding the tracks that kick started my passion for Jazz. Hope you like it.
PS. The album names are not accurate.

"California is a garden of Eden,
a paradise to live in or see!"
I just moved to California, and this is all music that I feel fits the mood here. Folk-punk from Andrew Jackson Jihad, some buzzy guitar rock from Delta Spirit, and a spoken word piece from Knoxville's own Todd Steed and the Suns of Phere make for a diverse playlist.

From the late '40s to the early '60s, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, on the left bank of the Seine in Paris, was the heart of the intellectual and artistic life in France. The musical landscape: jazzy song and pure "chanson française".
I chose, with care and love, 35 songs among my favourite ones. Several were written/composed by Boris Vian, the soul of Saint-Germain, and Serge Gainsbourg, his worthy heir. The other ones are brilliant too.
