i’ll hum myself to sleep till i feel entirely safe in my own skin. i’ll watch the stars embrace the cool autumn air, always promising a better tomorrow. quiet and soft, like your honeysuckle eyes. cursed with loving those who i have never met. wanting to mend every broken string in them.

Sixteen tracks. I made this quiet, nighttime mix for a friend a couple of years back, and it's one of my favorites. It's got soft pop songs, jazz, the Rolling Stones, a couple of covers (one on a music box!) and flows pretty well.
Had to remove a demo version of Track 1 (Ryan Adams's Crossed Out Name), which I replaced with the album version, and the cover at the end was originally a Counting Crows bootleg but I found an equally pretty one by Kathryn Williams.

Seems almost like a cliche to make a 1 AM mix on here--so here's mine. Nine tracks including music by Boards of Canada, Telefon Tel Aviv and Doves.
