Basel, April 16, 1943, Sandoz Laboratories. Dr Albert Hofmann was researching the properties of rye fungus, as a cure for migraine. During the afternoon he began to feel peculiar, and went home to lie down. “With eyes closed,” he wrote, “I perceived an uninterrupted stream of fantastic pictures, extraordinary shapes with intense, kaleidoscopic play of colours.”

Unwittingly, Dr Hofmann had taken the first-ever acid trip.

Do you smoke trees? I don't, but I used to. This is my playlist I used to put on EVERY TIME to fire up to. Even though I don't blaze anymore I still love these songs.
