The image is Isa Genzken's 1990 work Weltempfänger.
The title is a rough translation of Jacques Lacan’s late seminar Les Non-Dupes errent. Apparently, in French, the title is a pun, in that it sounds a bit like ‘le nom du Père’, the name of the Father or, in other words, the Oedipus complex. Unfortunately the word play is lost in translation.

A series of pop songs that I find powerful, moving, and uplifting. Songs which transformed me when I first heard them.
There are longer-form songs here which you can skip if their sound's not your thing. I'm thinking of the two songs by Joanna Newsom and Bobby McFerrin, both of which I love, neither of which is essential. But I encourage you to listen to the end, because the final song by Maher Shalal is earthy and magical. It’s woven itself into my daily routine since I heard it last month.
