We gonna back. Back to when radio stations played it all.No separate special lists for different types of music.Just real good music playing thru the air. Dick Clark was a "primary force in legitimizing music to America's whole population. The show gave music artists their first exposure to national audiences, Ike and Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, and Simon & Garfunkel. His shows were among the first where blacks and whites performed on the same stage and the audience seating was desegregated.

1975 -1989. From the creepy and paranoid to the uplifting and naff. Fear of computers, fear of the bomb, fear of the future, love of computers, love of electricity, love of the synthesizer.

Hours of 80s goodness, not those namby pamby mixes where it's all top 40. There are some surprises here, and some not-surprises, like The Cure, The Alarm, and of course, Depeche Mode.

This might turn into more than one mix, but these are songs taken from Rob Sheffield's autobiography, "Love Is A Mix Tape". Sadly I don't have access to every song featured in the book, but I've got a sizable amount!
