This great magazine was always a joy to read, what with all of the reviews of and interviews with amazing, oftentimes legendary, against-the-grain kind of artists (usually of a psychedelic nature). Each issue would be released with music by artists in said issue. These songs would sometimes be unavailable anywhere else, other times they were still just fantastic stand out tracks. Here are just a few from PT's glory days including Greg Weeks, Man With John Cipollina, Comets on Fire, etc.

A Night with the Vampire: Thrilling and Repulsive
Idril
2011-12-21T02:15:38Z
There was a deliberate voluptuousness which was both thrilling and repulsive, and as she arched her neck, she actually licked her lips like an animal...There was something diabolically sweet in her tones, something of the tingling of glass when struck... [Dracula, Bram Stoker]
Songs with a with a general sense of sensuality, hunger and fear.
Including Vespertina, Sopor Aeternus & the Ensemble of Shadows and Portishead.

The Terrastock festivals have been occasionally appearing across America (& once in England) between 1997 & 2008. Each one has showcased many phenomenal talents that have been completely against the grain. From mysterious legendary acts of the past to genius fledgling artists that were contemporary, Terrastock always had heavy hitting performances and breathtaking moments. Here are some of them with tracks by Sharron Kraus, Mono, & Paik

Here's a batch of mostly acoustic songs (there are a few tasteful exceptions) of a highly creative nature that can be both intellectually stimulating and soothing. I suppose either reaction could happen, depending on the way you listen to the mix of course. In this mix we have Connie Converse, The Civil Wars, and Jerry Holland. Enjoy!
