Each year I try to make a best of the music I discovered that was released during the year. I try to limit myself to 1 or 2 "CDs" worth of material even though most of the time the mixes are played on the iPod or computer. It helps to set a time limit, so the mixes are manageable.
The mix contains 34 tracks ranging from Blitzen Trapper to TV on the Radio to MGMT.

Fifteen tracks, all of which I feel are cool spacey hip-hop tracks, all pretty diverse, but similar in tone. Really good for hanging out with people.
Includes music by Aesop Rock, Black Star and CunninLynguists.

This is some of my favorite rap, most of it from the 90's. I lie in bed waiting for that song to cheer me up just like Cabiria... she listened to Nino Rota, I listen to Extra P. Sixteen tracks including music by Organized Konfusion, Dred Scott, and Aceyalone.
