9 mixes with tracks by “The Suicide Commandos”

For our last staff mix, we pulled out some of our favorite tunes from the 60s. This time we've compiled some of our favorites from the 70s. After coming to the conclusion that it's impossible to choose one (or even two... or three!) favorites from this decade, here's a hefty mix of classic material that has inspired us. Twenty-nine tracks including music by Wire, Avengers, and Black Flag.

One in a series of annual Thanksgiving mixes. A few friends sit down the night before the US Thanksgiving holiday and create a few mixes of vinyl finds in the past year. Most of the songs are new acquisitions or songs increasing in appearances on our individual playlists.

This mix is a blend of prog rock, glam and punk. Fourteen tracks including music by The Buzzcocks, Dramarama, and The Stranglers.

Turns out I'm not so efficient at making mixes. I feel compelled to just add a million songs and then stare at the track listing. Baffled. Light bulb! Narrow it down. It started out as a ridiculous megamix with every single genre imaginable, but I decided to keep this first volume void of any rap music. Challenge accepted! So, with a few exceptions, these are all tunes originating from Minnesota. 25 tracks. Dessa, Lifter Puller & The Replacements are involved.

Some good, loud-ish songs to possibly blow things up to by The Fall, Blood On the Wall and Eddy Current Suppression Ring. (I do not in any way condone or promote blowing things up.)
