Midnight Cafe

It's April, 1938. The moon illuminates the night sky and casts its light down onto a small Parisian cafe that never closes. Inside a blue light gently sweeps across its listeners as ghosts of bygone performers stand up to play. Trapped inside a moment, the songs the ghosts play reflect the midnight darkness: slow and carrying a sorrowful, blue-tinted somberness.

Yea you have some major studying to do but who says you can't do it with some style? Here's music by Baptiste Trotignon, David Binney, Eddie Henderson and more to help you out.
UPDATE 03.29.12: This mix has been updated to 80 tracks. That's hours and hours of stylish study music (or really classy makeout or sex music haha). Enjoy.

a dark and intimate bar on some out of the way street in whatever big city you love. cigarette smoke fills the air. you share a stiff brandy with a close confidant, saying nothing, as the trio on stage play soulful brooding jazz. it's the 1920s, the 1950s or present day. it's simply a feeling.
