The Sarsaparilla, a cowboys wild west drink served at the honky tonk; originally made from a blend of birch oil & the dried root bark of the sassafras tree. It was believed the sarsaparilla was a preventative measure against venereal disease due to its diuretic effects of flushing the urethra after hoochie coochie. For the unlucky, whiskey numbed the senses, a mixture of raw alcohol, burnt sugar & chewing tobacco, often called Coffin Varnish, Tarantula Juice, or Red Eye. Thank you for listening.
