Vincent Van Gogh turned 163 on 30 March. less than a week before I found that his life was to be celebrated, a beautiful cake inspired by his unforgettable 'Starry Night' showed up on my Twitter timeline (http://tinyurl.com/j47l7x3). I thought about his breathtaking depiction of turmoil: stress is present in every single detail of the world, even the most beautiful sight. no other words currently sum up the epitome of my current state than those by Van Gogh: "I put my heart and my soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process."

this is a reminder that attempting to conceal mental pain only increases the burden.
