Mexico had way to much influence from the US during the sixties and seventies, and it feels like the Spaniards (in their own unique way) were more on the Britt side of Rock and Roll. In mexico by that time they were listening to Los Peyotes, Los Matemáticos, Los Sinners, Los Monjes, Los Monstruos, Los Seven Teens, and Los Sputniks. Look up "Mi Mami Dijo" By Los Monjes.
