Volume 2: Seven Nation Army (January 9th, 2004)
A slow but sure improvement with shit from Rancid, Ice Cube and the White Stripes, but still enough bland pop-country to make me wince. Sailor Moon also makes a cameo appearance!

6 years ago, my neurotic 15-year-old self began a mission: to create 18 18-track mix CDs each year, beginning October 29th with the deadline of the following October 28th. Upon completion of the 18 "Volumes", I would then take the 18 best tracks from that year and create a cumulative, definitive list for the year.
It's been interesting and fun to chart my musical tastes from mainstream and cheesey in 2003 to (slightly) more mature and legit today, and see how I've kept it up, even during my shift from CDs to playlists, and thought it might be fun to publish the tracklists somewhere online for both some misguided sense of posterity and also as a way to locate great new music for future playlists. We'll see how this goes.
