I am someone who is anchored by their iPod. I find that all of those quotes about "music washing away the dust of the everyday" and "touching the soul" to be true. I, myself, sing, and I listen to a lot of Indie, but I also love classical, Jazz, a little bit of rap, and Billy Joel and Steely Dan, which I consider genres unto themselves.
