I never realized that Ray Charles Mess Around, which was featured in Planes, Trains, & Automobiles in a great scene where John candy sang along while driving, is clearly Pine Top Smith's Pine Top's Boogie Woogie from 1927. Pine Top was murdered in a knife fight over a woman shortly after the song was released in 1927, and Ray's Mess Around even has the directions to a fine lady to stand still and then shake it.

That John Candy scene is a classic! Glad you liked the mix, and suggestions for more to add?
