Founded by former members of Your City/State in 2007, Rockford, Illinois’ Joie de Vivre are nostalgic to say the least, having found themselves at the forefront of the 90’s midwest emo revival. On April 6th, 2011, Joie de Vivre announced that they would be breaking up for an indefinite period of time due to personal reasons. On December 17th 2011 they reunited, toured Europe for a month, and can now be found touring the midwest and occasionally recording. They suck at breaking up.
