because what she doesn’t need is a romantic little puppy to follow her around and call her every sweet nothing under the sun, nor does she need the harsh fire that takes her breath away but doesn’t give her anything to replace it. what she needs is stable, someone to hold her and quote passages from books she’s never read, someone who won't question her scars but will kiss her hard when she wants it and gentle when she needs it.
