In 1989, the Beastie Boys released their second album, "Paul's Boutique", a sonic collage of a whopping 105 song samples put together by the Boys and their producers, the Dust Brothers. It eventually became what many consider to be one of the greatest albums ever released.

Sadly, the world lost Beastie Boy Adam "MCA" Yauch on May 4, 2012. As a tribute, let's revisit the epic "Paul's Boutique" and mix up a healthy selection of some of the original songs later sampled on this masterpiece.

I remember around when this dropped,,,summer '89. I was a lil leery cuz I felt the orgy of samples overshadowed the raps/songs. Now that I'm grown, I appreciate it Much more, & noticed that Many producers became more creative w/ sampling ever since. LOVE the variety! PS-this also came out @ the Incline of Rap's Golden Age (1988ish to 94ish). Great Times; Lovely Mix! :) -d.j. CatScan
