Notes
These are some jazz tunes from the bygone era, when Calcutta & Bombay had a buzzing Jazz scene.
A perfect amalgamation of music in turbulent times, as this excerpt points to " Reuben Solomon and his Jive Boys, the band headed by a Baghdadi Jewish clarinet player from Burma who trekked to Calcutta during the Second World War and recorded prolifically in India...On that difficult one month trek towards the safety of India, we came upon more than one tea plantation in the hills of Assam. Starved for music and company, they noticed our instrument cases and would offer us a meal and the shelter of the bungalow verandahs in exchange for entertainment."

@storygirl This was the track with which I began making this playlist . It was on the Coltrane's Impressions album, yet I somehow missed it everytime.
