BIOGRAPHY
In My June, the connection between the secure and the lost.
the band consists of Paolo (vocals and guitar), Ricky (guitar and backing vocals), Laura (cello) and it was formed in the November 2010….different roads intersect.
Paolo and Ricky are part of the noise band called Anarcotici ("Iride", Italian record of the month on the Metal Hammer 2008, "Io non credo alle fate" - I don't believe in fairiesthe
last studio album in 2010). Laura plays soprano cello with an intense concert activity in Italy and Europe.
The courage to dig into what makes you feel sick, the sweetness and the harshness of the acoustic sound, the tear of the cello, Nick Drake, Elliot Smith, Bonnie "Prince Billy",
the generation XXX…. suffering can be understood.
"BLIND ALLEY", the dead end in which sooner or later everyone ends.
THE SOUND
There is a lot of America in the sound of In My June. In geographical and chronological sense; from the guitars, well played, original and defined, to the vocals, delicates,
inspirited, and sometimes on the wire pitch.
The fusion of sources makes "Blind Alley", their debut work, an original project which requires just one listen to fascinate ears and minds very different from each other.
In My June is a acoustic trio consists of two guitars and one cello which gives effect to the ensemble with a strict approach.
The strongly acoustic guitars in some parts may seem not properly played, otherwise the sweet and natural cello harmonically reassembles the sound: the amazement
emerges from the unusual approach in the composition. The innovative approach to guitar makes listening to the band interesting
The sequence of chords is carefully and uniquely chosen. The lyrics are "on fire".
The guys know they have something important to say and they don't desist from proposing a new kind of poetry.
Their music sounds unlike other Italian bands. Pushing the boundaries, sometimes pays off.
