I make weekly mixtapes of new music (to me). Generally: - each mix has 10 tracks - each track is from this year, and is a song I like - no band/artist appears twice in the same year. That's the aim, though I do mess up now and again.

In response to the Finders Keepers/Twisted Nerve/Bird/Battered Ormnaments stock loss in the PIAS warehouse fires caused by rioting on August 8th a few of our close label mates have come together to compile some of their favourite moments from the Finders Keepers family discography. A series of limited edition CD and MP3 compilations curated by the likes of Jarvis Cocker, Demdike Stare, David Holmes and Gruff Rhys including some exclusive and unreleased tracks, are now ready to order directly from the website and like minded retailers in a bid to ease us back onto our feet releasing phantastic obscure and obsolete music as soon as possible.

Ears Wide Open. Fear No Music. I enjoy the convivial atmosphere of 8tracks. It's a great place to listen, learn, contribute and make friends.

most of my mixes are not "theme" based, although every now and then I'll follow a loose set of rules to guide me along. mostly, though, they're just a bunch of songs that I think sound great together and hopefully you'll enjoy listening to them as much as I enjoy making them. Can't say I really stick to a specific genre. Admittedly, I know very little about top 40 music, so you won't find much of that here.
