In that time he has played along side many artists including, Four Tet, Prefuse 73, Daedelus, Caribou, J Rocc, Nobody, Battles, DJ Vadim, Jamie Lidell and Jackson and His Computer Band. KidVector has been involved in numerous projects within the music industry, including running independent label Camshot Records, where he helped break artists Infinite Livez (Big Dada) and the excellent (and highly sought after) King Seven. KidVector also founded Akanda, an online project dedicated to monthly remix competitions, working with artists and labels such as Telefon Tel Aviv, Forss, Melodic, Memphis Industries and Ninja Tune. (I never stay anywhere for too long.) I'm Kaitlyn Paige Nakamura, I'm half Japanese (and quarter French and quarter Irish) and I'm unoriginal, brash, and unjustifiably stubborn. I prefer the night to the day, a storm to the sun, and a good horror movie over a romantic one. I keep my walls covered with posters and my floors buried with books. I like morbid things, dusty record stores, urban exploring, and always holding one foot over the edge - this does not mean that I'm thrilling, dauntless, or dark by nature. I just am, that is all, I just am. I resist the temptation to resist temptation and I have a ferocious intolerance of intolerance, so I'm smashingly hypocritical. I am not fresh, and new, and dazzling, nor all too charming - if anything, I'm stale, sporadically sappy, annoyingly snarky, and I frequently find myself liking books, and music, and art, and just words as they are...more than people. I'm an awkward adventure on legs and if I ever had anything on my tombstone it would be this, and just this: "wherever she went, it was always against her better judgement."
