I started collecting music off the radio by taping the corners off on "non-recordable" cassette tapes when I was 9. I'm 23 now. My obsession with being a pirate digging for sonic treasure has only gotten worse.

Regardless of one’s beliefs, morals or goals, it is a universal human desire to simply cut loose every now and then. Obviously, it’s always materialistic and superficial in nature; most of all our basic desires don’t typically have any association with integrity and dignity. However, as most philosophers will say, we are imperfect and hence, we require simple gratification that is unencumbered by strings or other attachments. It may only be for one night in an individual’s life, but the desire I speak of will inevitably be felt by all at some point.
