This Pittsburgh-based band is still humbled by what has transpired over the last nine years. They have hosted with an assortment of professional oldies, rock and blues artists, performed at some of the largest Tri-State Festivals, Blues Festivals, Community Festivals, and Summertime Concert Series’.
Mahajibee is honored to have participated in local fundraisers and benefits which include local charities, Greater Pgh. Community Food Bank, The Ronald McDonald House, West Virginia National Guard and its Family Relief Fund, 911, Katrina victims of New Orleans, The Sago Mine disaster victims of West Virginia, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, Disabled American Veterans & Pittsburgh Police Tribute to Fallen Officers.
On Saturday, October 11, 2008, Mahajibee Blues performed at the third largest blues festival in the nation, The 23rd Arkansas Blues & Heritage Festival (better known as “The King Biscuit Blues Festival”) in Historic Helena, AR. They were picked from over 200 artists, bands and performers who applied to participate in the festival's “Emerging Artist Contest.” This contest has created excitement in the music world as “Blues Revue” and “Beale Street Caravan” (nationally syndicated radio program), joined as the national media sponsors.
