We're OurStage, a community of musicians, producers, writers, drummers, lawyers, ad managers, guitarists, executives, banjo players, and - most importantly - music lovers. So, as fans, we've decided to use this platform to highlight our collectively spectacular taste in music (if we do say so ourselves) by bringing you weekly mixtapes from members of our staff. Every Monday and Friday you'll find a new playlist, featuring some of our favorite OurStage artists alongside tons of music you'll probably recognize. A little musical fingerprint, if you will. I specialize in DJing vintage 1930s, 40s and 50s grooves aimed at keeping the dance floor active. This is the era of jitterbugs, juke joints and hot swingin' jazz! Original bands of Harlem, early rhythm & blues and soul, jam sessions, dance battles, late night blues, feel-good hand-clapping and songs about food! I'm a somewhat obsessive collector and continuously in search of the next killer-diller. No "Best of Glenn Miller" here...
