About stephansong My songs reflect my life experience — uprooted from France at the age of ten to life on an Indian reservation. My perspective of the United States, as opposed to that of my experiences in France, also adds a unique element to my songwriting. I compose most songs on the bass, which again brings a distinct sound. My lyrics reflect what I read, live and feel. I try to create an environment within the music so listeners will open up their minds as well as their souls. Influences of Nick Cave & early Cure, stephansong parallels indie contemporaries such as White Stripes, Beck & Placebo.
