Tribute to the Dirty Pair. Originally a series of scifi/space adventure novels about pair of Trouble Consultants who attempt to solve crimes but always make things worse. They were adapted into a hit anime and a cult American comic by Adam Warren.

Hit up Youtube, Manga Entertainment has posted a bunch of full episodes and movies (in parts). Project Eden film is very cool.
