As a kid I adored the weekly listmaking exercise of listening to the top 40 for the latest rankings. Taking inspiration from those desperate days, I'll be counting down my favorites of 2009 eight tracks at a time. We're getting very close to the top with this group, which includes music by#16 Empire of the Sun, #12 I Was a King and #15 It Hugs Back.
