ümlaut (a heavy metal mix of doom)

Well I certainly do now see your metal pov, and (quite surprisingly) I mostly dislike it! The Pantera, Black Sabbath, Slayer, and Wounded Cougar are all nice and things I already liked. The rest was mostly "new" to me and is the type of stuff I typically avoided throughout the 80s and early 90s. Coming from my own pov, this stuff is not metal at all and in fact gives metal a bad name.

I want to add that I don't mean any of the above as a negative comment - because the whole point of this was to compare our metal tastes/pov and I think in that regard this was an epic success. I'll be interested in what you think about what I did since it is quite different.

Heh, next I'm moving on to Rochelle's which I think is going to be all hair metal, definitely the worst of the worst metal in my taste/opinion - so it will be very interesting to see if I can force myself through it (and even more interesting if somehow she managed to change my mind -something I am almost hoping for)! :]

and also, I wanted more tracks that I really really like, I was running low with just pure heavy metal things, so I dipped into some stuff that may not be metal but is just heavy

yea, i agree about BHole... but I thought that track in that particular kind of fit, and though heavy, I wanted a few tracks that were a little "lighter"

Bravo HM is a strange beast, Not sure I'd have put B-Hole in there that one blurred the line for me. they lean closer to hardcore though later maybe metal. Metal to me is a mindset that comes through in lyric/mood/cadence are important in defining the genre. I just don't think Bholes where going for that not even in farce like WuCU or spinal. their is my 2 cent
