New Wave Love: I Might Like You Better If We Slept

CFNY "the spirit of radio" was their saying in Toronto. Started in a private house back in '78. They played songs no one else would touch. One big hit they played in the mid 80's was from Abecedarians " smiling monarchs ". Hard to find Cheers

@brownsuga1958-953 I love that you love this mix, brownsuga! Went bold for sure - go big or go home! The very suggestive artwork is taken from Bow Wow Wow's 1981 EP titled "Last of the Mohicans" which I owned back in the day. Here is what Wiki says about the album cover: "The album cover depicted the band in the style of Édouard Manet’s Le déjeuner sur l'herbe. Posing nude was lead singer Annabella Lwin, who was 15 at the time of the album's release. Photographed by Andy Earl, the cover caused outrage that led to an investigation by Scotland Yard, instigated by Lwin's mother." Haha!

@Aoxomoxoa Great info. Great mom eh? Thanks so much. There is a rich history shared between art and music. The artwork used for an album cover is a crucial part of that creative essence, if you will. The artists behind those images should be just as respected as the members of the band. I think that should start at day one… with how the band or label label approaches the artist.
Take care my friend, Stay true

@nysean Thanks! Glad you like it. Not sure if the obscure tunes will be appreciated by enough people to push this one to Gold. These were obscure tunes for mainstream radio but they were in regular rotation on WLIR-FM back in the day. Loved that station and the DJ's.
