Down and Out in Dreamland

Notes

An ephemeral, dreamlike, moody mix featuring work by electronic music pioneer Delia Derbyshire ~ "The Dreams" (1964). These early compositions were made using tape loops and spliced/reassembled interviews with people describing their dreams. There are 5 total, woven throughout this mix. As a revolutionary female composer in a field dominated by men, Delia is incredibly inspiring to me. I consider this my homage to her.

As with all my mixes, it is best to listen straight through, preferably with headphones, in the dark.
